After his November 1, 2013 program of Sopore, chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani is scheduled to address a public meeting to commemorate memories of martyrs on November 6, after noon prayers at Shopian Chowk in South Kashmir and on November 8 after Friday prayers at Kupwara main Chowk. This was stated by spokesman of the conglomerate Ayaz Akbar.

According to Spokesman, Hurriyat Conference has decided to hold a seminar in memory of martyrs of Jammu on Tuesday, November 12 at Hyderpora Srinagar.

Ayaz Akbar while releasing the details, said that “on September 7, this year when puppet regime and their masters were enjoying Zubin Mehta music concert at Shalimar garden, the same time the Indian brutal forces killed four innocent youths at Gagran Shopian and when people protested against the gruesome killing the forces resorted to firing and one more youth was shot dead.”

He said that Syed Ali Geelani could not visit Shopian to extend his condolence to the bereaved families as he was continuously detained at his residence by authorities.

“Now we have decided that a public  rally will be held at Shopian town on November 6, to remember those martyrs and Syed Ali Geelani during his address would pay tributes and apprise people about its stance related  to political developments, future strategy  and other related issues.

Spokesman said that a similar public rally would be held at Kupwara main Chowk on November 8, after Friday prayers.

“Few pro-Indian politicians of Kupwara district are creating confusion and misunderstanding about the people living in extremely sensitive area of Kupwara and Hurriyat Conference has decided to apprise the local people about their duties and will also pay tributes for their unprecedented sacrifices for ongoing freedom struggle.

In an appeal spokesman asked the people that during the schedule program they should maintain discipline and timetable must be taken care of.
