Hurriyat Conference (M) Spokesperson Sunday said the statement made by Maulana Abbas Ansari that appeared in a section of news papers was presented out of context and it is far from truth.
The Spokesperson in a statement said that Hurriyat (M) believes that Geelani’s Sopore rally was no threat to peace and hopes that Government would no longer now confine him and would allow him to breathe freely.
Spokesperson while refuting the news report said that Ansari had said that when how come Ashoora processions would prove threat to peace when Geelani’s Sopore rally remained so peaceful.
Pertinently, Ansari Saturday told CNS that Geelani was released by the Government to enforce election boycott so that ruling party would gain from this boycott propagation.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) spokesperson, told CNS that Hurriyat (G) not take ‘his’ statements seriously.
“His statements make no difference and we do not take his statements seriously,” spokesperson said.
