Police did not allow Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani to offer his prayers and instead arrested him when he tried to move out of his residence on Friday afternoon.
“Geelani Sahab is undergoing house arrest since a long period of time now and he is not being allowed to go for Friday prayers since 30 weeks,” Hurriyat spokesman informed in a statement.
The statement added that on Friday November 2, Geelani as usual tried to go to the nearest Mosque but he was arrested and taken to Humhama police post.
