All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani continues to be under house detention and was again stopped from offering congregational Friday prayers today.

Quoiting Geelani, Hurriyat Conference (g) spokesperson said blamed the “state for pushing youth to pick up gun”. “The suppression of students by the state compels youth to become fighters,” he said.

The spokesperson said that district president Islamabad of Tehreek-i-Hurriyat (TeH), Mir Hafizullah was slapped for the ninth time with infamous Public Safety Act by police and was imprisoned in Central Jail in Srinagar today.

Geelani appealed to the international human rights groups to press the Indian government to abolish the PSA and release all political prisoners. (KNS)
