Wamiq-Farooqs-Father-protesting-at-Press-Enclave-Srinagar

Family of 7th class students, who was hit by a police teargas shell on his head during the 2010 mass unrest in Kashmir Friday paid glowing tributes to their son and said that the congregational Fateha Khawani on his 6th death anniversary will be held on Sunday at Eidgah.

Wamiq’s father, Farooq Ahmad said that from past six years they are following every procedure of the Judiciary and are pinning a hope of justice. “I believe that judiciary will deliver justice in this case. I will continue to fight till death against the accused involved in the killing of my son,” Farooq said.

Wamiq’s mother told KNS that she is still waiting for her son. “I believe my son will come back to his home. Whenever anybody knocks our door I consider that it is my son who returned to his home from the playing field,” she said.

Wamiq Farooq—a class 7th student who was hit by a police teargas shell on his head during the 2010 mass unrest in Kashmir while on December 2 of previous year, two cops, Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Khaliq and SPO Muhammad Akram, were found guilty of culpable homicide were send to judicial custody.

On December 29 of 2015, father of Wamiq Farooq set ablaze his son’s case file and had said that he will also set ablaze himself if justice will not be delivered.
