A “very important” meeting between Pakistan High Commissioner, Abdul Basit and Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani in scheduled in New Delhi on Tuesday.
“Geelani Sahab has been invited at 1:30 PM to the High Commission to have a one to one meeting with Abdul Basit,” Hurriyat Spokesman, Ayaz Akbar informed Kashmir Life.
He added that it will be a “very important” meeting for which many “important” issues are on agenda.
Akbar said that Geelani is likely to inform Pakistan about his stand on talks. “Future strategy is also expected to be discussed,” he said adding Geelani will also have his lunch with Basit.
Pakistan High Commissioner will be also having a joint meeting with all the Hurriyat (G) representatives later in the day.
Worth to mention that all the frontline separatist leadership attended the function of ‘Pakistan Day’ at Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on March 23.
India has already raised objections about Pak High Commission meetings with the separatists. Almost all the separatist leaders met Basit.
