Huriyat conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali shah Geelani Monday called for complete shutdown and civil curfew on September 7 against the Zubin Mehta’s musical concert.
Addressing a press conference at his residence, Geelani also appealed people to stage peaceful protests after Friday prayers on September 6, over Mehta’s concert .
The proposed concert to be held at Shalimar Garden on September 7 has run into rough weather with human rights activists and intellectuals demanding scrapping of the concert.
Civil society groups plan to organise an event of their own way to protest the Zubin Mehta concert.
