Chairman APHC (G) Syed Ali Geelani in a statement called for a complete shutdown on 18 April 2015.
Geelani, according to the statement said, “people should observe strike against the cold blooded murder of Youth in Tral, unjustified and inhuman arrests of Hurriyat Leaders, continued and repeated raids on pro-freedom youths, and biased and provoking paid Indian media and their sub-lings here in Kashmir.”
