Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday strongly condemned the killing of a Youth Mohd Amir Lone, Chatturgul Kangan by government forces.

The spokesman in a statement said Geelani while paying his heartfelt tributes to slain student said, “the irony is that whenever Kashmiri people try to raise their voice against such killings, they are being targeted by bullets, pellets, PAVA and lethal weapons.

Boycott all upcoming elections, Geelani asked people and stressed to remain faithful to mission nourished by the sacred blood.

Syed Ali Geelani said that people in Jammu and Kashmir are striving for the right to self-determination. Urging people to exhibit persistence with the movement, Geelani said, “we need to be optimistic, show wisdom and valour.’’ We have presented unparalleled sacrifices for our birthright and are duty bound to safeguard these cherished sacrifices”, he added.

Geelani expressed solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family of Amir and added that world community should voice in favour of distressed and subjugated Kashmiris, who are being deprived of their lives and fundamental rights, saying that in civilized societies there is no justification for these merciless killings.

Syed Ali Geelani in his telephonic address to mourners in Khudwani and Paderpora paid his rich tributes to slain Hafiz Quran, Gayas-u- Din and extended his condolences and sympathies to the grieved family.

Hurriyat Conference spokesman on Sunday said that it would organize a seminar on Sunday, April 22 at Hyderpora in which Chairman Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani and prominent speakers would speak on the death anniversary of Sir Dr Mohammad Iqbal.
