Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Sunday expressed anguish over the killing of Kangan youth who was critically injured during clashes with government forces at Kangan area of Ganderbal in central Kashmir Last week and succumbed to his Injuries at Sher Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura on Sunday.
DeM criticized the Jammu and Kashmir’s government for letting loose hell on the people of Kashmir and using forces against the peaceful student protesters.
The spokesman said that people of Kashmir yet again on Sunday woke up to the news of the death of another youth. The Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi while praying for peace to the soul of the deceased youth said that there is not a single day in Kashmir when the people do not have to lift the coffins of their dear ones.
Syedah Andrabi said that the situation across Jammu and Kashmir is very gruesome. Blaming the government for choking the space of people, Andrabi said that the people are not even allowed to peacefully come on roads and protest.
Amir Hamid Lone (22) son of Abdul Hamid Lone, a resident of Chattergul Kangan was critically injured in Kangan clashes which erupted soon after the news about the passing away of another youth Gowhar Ahmad Rather at SKIMS spread in the area.
Amir battled for life more than 12 days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of SKIMS Soura. had received injuries on his head during forces action at Kangan on April 3, he succumbed at SKIMS, Soura on Sunday.
Meanwhile, condemning the attack on the people who stood by the family of Asifa in fighting their case, Dukhtaran-e-Millat said that Jammu and Kashmir have been turned into a “Jungle”. “Even jungle has its rules and the creatures living there follow them. However, Jammu and Kashmir seem to be the only place where those who seek justice are been harassed and punished, that too by the people who are hand in glove with the state.
