While expressing his deep shock, sorrow and grief over the loss of lives which resulted due to the two separate blasts at the Churches in Lahore city of Punjab province of Pakistan, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday said it is absolutely an anti-human and terrorist act and it should be condemned at all levels.

While demanding death punishment for the criminals of this act, Geelani in a statement to KNS said, “The protection of life, property, dignity and Religious places of the minorities is the legal, religious and moral responsibility of the Pakistan government and they should perform this responsibility with priority.”

“To kill any innocent and unarmed person is totally against the basic principles, values and teachings of Islam and any person who is any way involved in these types of activities even if he claims to be the well-wisher of Islam is the biggest enemy of this religion of peace and mercy,” he said.

While commenting over the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s claim of responsibility of these attacks, Geelani said, “Now it has proven that some of the groups of the TTP are working as agents of the external enemies of the Pakistan and their only purpose is to destabilize and weaken the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

He expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolence with the bereaved families of the Christian brothers and said that we equally share their grief and pain.
