While terming the slapping of yet another PSA on senior pro-freedom leader Masarat Alam Bhat and shifting him to Kotbalwal jail in Jammu as the “worst kind of state terrorism”, Hurriyat (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani Thursday condemned the act in strong words.

He said that the continuous imprisonment of Masarat Alam Bhat exposes the democracy claims of India and it also indicate that the state government is just a show piece and all rights and authorities are reserved with the Indian home ministry.

Giving reference of report of the international human rights organization Amnesty International in which they had termed the PSA as a lawless law, Geelani said, “the Jammu & Kashmir is practically under the martial law and the law and order has been deliberately suspended here. The preventive detention according to the international laws is although a grave human rights violation but it is frequently and openly used in the Jammu & Kashmir and the innocent people without any trial are imprisoned for years together. It is the worst kind of human rights violation and clear violation of the international laws and agreements.”
