Hurriyat (G) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani showered lots of praises on the authors of the book “Do You Remember Kunan Poshpora”.
He said, “We are proud of our daughters and their work is really an encouragement for the entire nation. It has generated a new hope that we can in future hold India accountable before the world community for its crimes against the humanity in Kashmir and we can bring its armed forces involved in the war crimes to justice.”
Meanwhile, on the completion of 25 years of the Kunan-Poshpora tragedy, Hurriyat (G) chairperson said that the mass rapes of Kunan-Poshpora is a living proof of the state terrorism and fascism of India in Kashmir and it can be assumed that how-grave “war crimes” are committed by the Indian “occupational forces” in Jammu & Kashmir.
He appealed the UNO Secretary General Ban-ki-Moon to conduct the investigation of Kunak-Poshpora and other like incidents in Kashmir by the United Nations War Crime Tribunal like this world institution did in Bosnia.
Syed Ali Geelani expressed his sorrow that after the 25 years of the inhuman and beastly act in Kunan-Poshpora in 1991, there is still no case registered against anybody and nor has been any involved army officer or personal arrested.
This episode is deliberately tried to hush-up and for this not only the occupational forces of India are creating troubles but the successive state governments have also played a criminal role in this regard and they have never made any sincere attempt to register any case in this regard till date.
Syed Ali Geelani said that whether it was NC, Congress or the PDP in the power, everybody tried to conceal the Kunan-Poshpora incident.
