On the 17th continuous day of house arrest at his residence, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, Hurriyat(G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani’s health problems have seriously worsened. He is critically ill and is suffering from serious heart ailments. The family sources of Geelani informed Kashmir Life.
“If any untoward thing happens to my father, Indian government would be responsible”, Naseem Geelani, son of the veteran leader said.
He demanded the immediate release of his father so that he could be shifted to hospital for the treatment.
Pertinently, NC member parliament GN Rattanpuri had a day before reported that when he met the ailing leader on Monday, he was feeling abdominal pain.
Naseem said that they have come to know that Geelani Sahab is seriously ill and he is not being even shifted to some hospital which is very worrying for them.
Geelani along with his wife is detained since February 9, 2013, when Afzal was hanged in Tihar jail. Geelani has been deprived of communication even with his family members. The family alleges.
