Geelani Questions Role of Police, Says Assassination Suspicious

Terming the assassination of Sarpanch at Goripora  and Shiva Spore mysterious event, chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani  said that the statement  issued by Sarpanch association  need due consideration and added that in recent past the  killings of Panchs and Sarpanch has  created doubts.

Geelani while referring the stand of administration said, “though they hastily laid responsibility over the Mujahedeen but   neither the authorities were convinced about their investigation nor any mujahedeen outfit accepted responsibility for the killings. Instead said incidents proved mysterious one.”

Geelani questioning the role of state police said , “the police which  swung  into action  against those innocent Islamist and pro freedom activists and detain them without  any delay and hesitation, is yet to arrest  those elements involved in such killings.”

Geelani referring to the detention of its  party worker, Abdullah Nassir, said that police charged him with murder of  Sarpanch, “but latter on even Chief Minister refuted the charges and said that Mujahedeen were not involved in these killings ,the statement is on record,” added Geelani.

Geelani claimed that numerous agencies are working as per their assigned agenda. “They in past under the fictitious cover of Alfaran  killed  foreign visitors and to malign the on-going movement blamed   Mujahedeen organizations,” said Geelani.
