All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Chairperson Syed Ali Geelani will be returning to Srinagar on March 15.

The octogenarian leader who had gone to Delhi for check-up of various ailments, on Sunday went to Medanta Hospital where senior consultant Dr Vikram Sarabhai did his check-up and various tests including PFT (pulmonary function test) were done, Geelani’s son, Naseem told Kashmir Life over phone from New Delhi.

“There is improvement in his condition and he is able to move out for walk,” Naseem said.

Geelani was under continuous house detention in his Srinagar residence since April last. The Hurriyat amalgam had alleged that the continuous house detention had taken toll on his health. His condition had destabilized some days ago and he laboured oxygen while many tests and medical check-ups were done on him in Srinagar hospitals.

Hurriyat patriarch is residing at Delhi’s Malviya Nagar flew to Delhi last Saturday.

He further said following improvement in cold weather in valley, Geelani will be back by March 15.
