Pakistan High Commissioner visited ailing Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani, at Max Hospital in New Delhi on Friday. Pak High Commission also held a special prayer meeting for Octogenarian's health in its office premises today.
Pakistan High Commissioner, Abdul Basit, visited ailing Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani, at Max Hospital in New Delhi on Friday. Pak High Commission also held a special prayer meeting for Octogenarian’s health today.

Ailing Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani is under constant medical check and has been shifted to neurology ward of Max Hospital in South New Delhi.

Geelani had complained of severe chest pain early Thursday following which he was rushed to Max Hospital by his daughter. He was admitted in ICU and later in the evening was shifted to normal ward after he responded positively to medication.

Speaking to Kashmir Life, Geelani’s son, Naseem said, “Geelani sahab is normal. Various medical tests have been done and results are awaited.” He added doctors investigated pacemaker of Geelani and “that too is normal”.

Naseem added that Geelani shall be discharged from the hospital on Saturday.

Meanwhile, peacenik Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had to return home after he fell ill on way to historic Jamia Masjid on Friday.

Mirwaiz leads congregation Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid.

Reports said that doctors consulted on Mirwaiz at his home early this afternoon who advised him for complete rest.
