SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday said that the current Generation Z in the region is highly aware and well-informed, and can achieve significant progress if provided a supportive platform free from fear.
Speaking at the party’s “Kath Baath” interaction programme in Baramulla, she expressed optimism about the capabilities of young people, noting that they have broad exposure and the potential to amplify the voice of Jammu and Kashmir on larger platforms if given the opportunity.
Mehbooba Mufti said she was encouraged by the confidence and articulation of Gen Z participants, adding that their awareness can play a key role in shaping the region’s future.
Describing the “Kath Baath” programme as a space for open dialogue and collective engagement, she also thanked the people of Baramulla for participating despite short notice, saying the initiative is aimed at allowing citizens to freely express their concerns and emotions.
