SRINAGAR: A 23-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her home in the Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
Sources said that the girl, whose name has been withheld, resided in Krashivan Colony, Sopore, and took her own life at her residence.
“They immediately rushed her to the Sub-District Hospital in Sopore, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival,” they said.
Subsequently, the body was taken for medico-legal formalities, and the police have registered a case. Further investigation is underway. (KS)
