Girl Sets Herself Ablaze in Budgam

A girl tried to end her life by setting herself ablaze in Budgam last evening.

A girl (name withheld) resident of Budgam set ablaze herself at her home in Budgam. She was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, a minor boy drowned in a Nallah near his home in Sonawari area of Bandipora.

A minor boy Ishan Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Amin Khan resident of Sonawari Khan Mohalla drowned in a Nallah adjacent to his residential house in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bandipora. The body of the deceased was fished out by the police and locals.

The police statement said that two persons were injured in two separate road accidents.

In Srinagar, an unknown Auto hit a Scooty bearing registration number JK01Y/3722 driven by Ghulam Ahmad Banday resident of Rajbagh near Sangermal Complex Kothibagh, resulting in injuries to the Scooty driver. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Sriangar for treatment.

In Budgam, a vehicle bearing registration number JK05D/4133 hit and injured a pedestrian Zahid Ahmad Rather a resident of Jowherpora Narbal at Gagerpora. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
