The SKIMS administrative department Saturday cancelled appointment of five orderlies after verification of documents confirmed fake by J&K Board of School Education. The case has been submitted to crime branch for further necessary action. The fake documents included forged qualification (10th and 10+2) certificates, a SKIMS spokesperson said this evening.
SKIMS last year had advertised (61) posts of orderlies vide advertisement notice No. 6 of 2014 dated; 21 October 2014 with the provision that the number of vacancies shown are tentative and can be increased or decreased without further notice and later on further 10 vacancies were added to the existing 61. Therefore the total vacancies became 71.
The spokesperson said that the candidates were provisionally appointed on the basis of below mentioned criteria:-
10th = 90 points on Pro-Rata Basis
12th = 10 Points on Pro-Rata Basis
Total = 100 Points.
Accordingly (67) candidates till date stands appointed vide Office Order 23 (P) of 2015, Dated: February 02, 2015 and vide Office Order No. 92 (P) of 2015, Dated: May 28, 2015. The appointment of the candidates was subject to verification of DOB/ Academic Qualification certificates from Concerned Board. Subsequently the appointees joined their duties and their certificates were forwarded to Concerned Board for verification vide SIMS /Per/ Veer/ 2015-4812, Dated 21/07/2015. The Joint Secretary of JK Board vide its letter No. F (JS-Ver) Fake / KD/2015/0-106, Dated: 23/07/2015 Conveyed that the academic qualification certificates of (05) appointees are ‘fake and fabricated’.
“SKIMS took a strong cognizance of letter received from JK BOARD and immediately cancellation orders were issued in favour of (5) orderlies vide Office order No. SIMS 127 (P) of 2015, Dated: 25/07/2015 who’s academic qualification certificates were received fake from Concerned Board,” the SKIMS statement said.
Director SKIMS said, “the incident is shocking in nature, however, I appreciate administrative unit SKIMS for being vigilant and nabbing the culprits. This should go as warning to one and all applicants who apply for various posts.” “SKIMS should follow proper procedures to ascertain that documents submitted by various applicants are authentic to avoid any such mischief and will also remain vigilant in future as well.”
