Opposition Friday staged a walk out of Legislative Assembly for the delay in the investigation in the alleged molestation case of a student at Government Medical College Jammu.
Opposition members from Congress and NC holding banners against the college management shouted slogans, “Mehbooba ke Sarkar mai Andera he andera”.
On December 20 a girl student hailing from Ladakh, pursuing MBBS in GMC Jammu alleged that she was molested by the HOD forensic labs, Bupesh Khajuria.
Opposition demanded action and shouted slogans against the accused, professor, Khajuria.
MLA Nawang Rigzin Jora, while alleging the government was not serious about the incident said, “the committee to investigate is yet to submit the report.”
Meanwhile, Parliamentary affairs minister Ab Rahman veeri, while assuring that the proper action is being taken the accused, said that an FIR has been registered and the professor has been suspended.
“If proven guilty , he will not be spared,” veeri assured the house.
But opposition was not contented by the response and held walkout amid slogans, Mehbooba ke Sarkar mai Andera he Andera.
