Lt. Gen. A.K. Bhat, GOC 15 Corps, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan in Jammu on Saturday and briefed him about issues relating to the security situation in the valley, said spokesman.
The spokesman said that observing that there was no likelihood of a decline in the continuing militant activities, the Governor advised enhanced surveillance along the LoC.
He appreciated the army’s sustained strong support to the government forces in carrying out counter-insurgency operations in the valley.
