The rate for a tola of gold also declined to Rs 154,817 from Rs 155,074.10 on Friday, a fall of Rs 257.10, or about 0.17 percent.

FXStreet calculates its India gold rates by converting international gold prices into Indian rupees and local measurement units. The rates are indicative and may differ from prices offered by local jewellers and bullion markets.

The latest movement comes amid fluctuations in international gold prices, with the precious metal sensitive to changes in the US dollar, interest-rate expectations, geopolitical uncertainty and investor demand for safe-haven assets.

The quoted figures represent reference rates compiled by FXStreet and should not be treated as a uniform retail price across India.
