SRINAGAR: Gold prices in India moved higher on Thursday, with the rate rising to Rs 14,192.09 per gram, compared with Rs 14,090.06 per gram a day earlier, according to FXStreet data.
The price also increased to Rs 1,65,534.30 per tola from Rs 1,64,343.70 per tola on Wednesday. FXStreet’s reference data placed gold at Rs 1,41,920.60 per 10 grams and Rs 4,41,422.70 per troy ounce.
FXStreet said its India gold rates are derived from international gold prices, adjusted using the USD-INR exchange rate and local units of measurement. It cautioned that these are reference prices and actual domestic market rates may differ.
Separately, Livemint reported the price of 24-carat gold at Rs 1,58,778 per 10 grams on August 27, with rates varying according to purity, market and source.
