A man, critically injured in a violent protest against the recent killing of four persons in Gool, Ramban, succumbed at SKIMS on Tuesday, official sources said.

Ravi Kant Sharma (38), a resident of Rajouri district of Jammu region, was injured at Awantipora, on Srinagar-Jammu Highway on July 19, they added.

They said Sharma, who was on a holiday in Kashmir, was returning home when he was injured on the head during protests against the killing of four persons allegedly by BSF men in Ramban district the day before.

Sharma was admitted to SKIMS, Soura where he breathed his last this morning, the officials added.

Police spokesman told Kashmir Life that the body of Sharma will be sent to Rajouri, later in the evening.
