SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday issued a ten-year validity passport to Iltija Mufti, daughter of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
Confirming the development, Iltija said that authorities have issued a ten-year term passport to her. “I finally got a ten-year passport after a long-drawn battle that lasted 18 months. It’s a huge relief for me,” she said.
The passport issuance to Iltija came more than a month after she filed a petition in JK High Court, seeking an extension of her passport duration. Iltija was earlier issued a country-specific passport valid for two years. (KNS)
