SRINAGAR

Ali Muhammad SagarNational Conference on Thursday said the PDP-BJP Government was missing on the ground in severely water-logged areas in Srinagar City and said such apathy by the State Government was fast becoming a trademark of the Mufti Sayeed rule.

NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar visited various water-logged areas of Srinagar City on Thursday and took stock of the situation in the City.

“The Government claimed to have hundreds of de-watering pumps in the city and that it was ready to face any water-logging situation. Where are the water pumps? Areas of Hawal and other Shehar-e-Khaas localities are severely inundated and the administration is virtually missing from the ground,” Sagar said in a statement.

He said the government was out to persecute people and watch as a mute spectator as their houses go inundated and their belonging ruined.

Sagar demanded immediate de-watering of all water-logged areas in Srinagar City and said the administration’s criminal negligence was extremely unfortunate and condemnable.
