The government stated that several steps are being taken to put Teetwal, Karanoo in Nawagabra, and Budnambal on the tourism map. One such initiative includes the construction of Yatri Niwas at Sharda Temple in Teetwal, aimed at boosting pilgrim tourism.

Responding to a query by MLA Javid Ahmad Mircha, the Tourism Department acknowledged Karnah’s huge tourism potential, citing its lush meadows, adventure tourism prospects, and cultural significance.

“One of the key projects is the construction of Yatri Niwas at Sharda Temple, along with a cafeteria to cater to visitors and pilgrims,” the reply stated.

The government believes that Teetwal’s proximity to the LoC makes it an ideal hub for cross-border heritage tourism, which could attract a large number of visitors in the future. (KNO)
