Governor N N Vohra Friday rescinded his earlier order dated 11thDecember, 2015 whereby the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council of the State were summoned to meet at Jammu on 18th January, 2016.
A Raj Bhavan spokesperson stated that the cancellation has been necessitated as the Legislative Assembly has been kept under suspended animation after imposition of the Governor’s Rule.
Meanwhile Vohra expressed grief over the loss of lives in a bus accident which was on its way to Basantgarh in Udhampur district.
In a condolence message the Governor has conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He wished speedy recovery to those injured in this accident.
