SRINAGAR

After the dramatic resignation of caretaker CM Omar Abdullah, President of India Pranab Mukherjee Friday imposed Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pertinently, on December 23 assembly poll results threw up a hung house with no political party getting majority to form government on its own and after hectic deliberations, no coalition could materialise so far.

J&K assembly elections concluded on December 20 with PDP emerging as the single largest party with 28 seats, BJP with 25 seats, National Conference with 15 and Congress 12 seats.

Since December 23, deliberations are on between PDP and BJP to form an alliance however, there has been no headway.
