SRINAGAR: Government on Monday constituted three Committees for the implementation of all three components of the PM-KUSUM Scheme and solarization of the Agricultural and Horticulture sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan Yojana) has been launched by the Government of India to increase the income of farmers and provide sources for irrigation and de-dieselizing the agricultural sector.

One of them, Apex Committee shall be headed by Chief Secretary and comprises 5 other members. “The Committee shall meet half yearly and review the implementation of all the components of the scheme and coordinate the smooth implementation of the scheme,” news agency GNS quoted a government order as having said.

Another is a 11-member Steering Committee headed by the Administrative Secretary of Science and Technology and it has been asked to meet quarterly to review the implementation of the scheme

The third and final one is a District level Committee and the six-member committee with Deputy Commissioner as chairman   all meet bi-monthly to review and address issues and bottlenecks, if any, for smooth implementation of the scheme, the government order added.
