Govt Machinery Pursuing Divisive Agenda in Kashmir: Hurriyat (m)

Strongly condemning the house arrest of its chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from past two days, spokesperson of Hurriyat (m) Saturday said the Government has “restricted the social, political and religious activities of the Mirwaiz”.

Hurriyat (m) spokesperson further said that all the organs of the state including executive and judiciary were perusing a divisive agenda in Kashmir by splitting the society on ethnic and religious lines.

He said that Hurriyat (m) and the people of Jammu and Kashmir would not allow such divisive plans to succeed and would resist it tooth and nail.

Lauding people for observing complete strike to protest again the ban of beef, the spokesperson said that the Muslims would tolerate anything, but nothing which would infringe their religious beliefs and Shariah code.
