Joint resistance leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for protests after Friday prayers against the US State Department for announcing Hizb chief, Syed Salahuddin as “a global terrorist”.

United Jihad Council (UJC), an amalgam of the militant outfits headed by Salahuddin has also called for the same kind of protests.

Authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar parts coming under five police stations to “maintain law and order”.
