Govt Provides Relief to Kin of Udhampur Blast Victims

District Administration, Udhampur, Thursday distributed an amount of Rs 20,000 each as relief to next of kin (NoK) of 3 children who died on Wednesday accidental blast near Birma in Udhampur district.

Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, on the directions of Chief Minister J&K, after seeking a preliminary report from Police, has formulated case for relief of Rs 1.50 Lakh each making a total of 4.50 Lakh to the parents of deceased children namely Vikas (aged 15), Deepu (10) and Mahesh (07) all sons of Bhola Ram R/O Ramban.

Tehsildar Udhampur, Sapna Kotwal handed over the relief amount to the family and administration has also provided additional assistance of livelihood to family.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana has been appointed as Enquiry Officer in the matter to be assisted by Additional SP, an official spokesperson said late this evening.
