SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has reduced the syllabus by 40% for classes 10th and 12th in the upcoming annual regular 2020 examinations scheduled to be held from November 9.

The students who will be appearing in the annual examination will be asked to attempt only 60 percent of the questions which will be considered as 100 percent.

The announcement in this regard was made Advisor to Lieutenant Governor K K Sharma.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Sharma wrote: “Annual Regular Exams for class10th & 12th will commence from 9th &10th Nov resp for Kmr & winter zone of Jammu. BOSE increases relaxation by 40℅, Students to attempt  60℅ marks which will be raised to 100%. Done in interest of Students.Exams will end on 27th Nov & 9th Dec resp.”

Earlier, J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) has announced dates for the Secondary School Examination (10th), Higher Secondary Examination Part – II (12th class) in Kashmir division.

According to the date sheet, the class 10th examination will start from November 09 and will end on November 27.

The examination of class 12th will commence from November 10 and will end on December 09.
