Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman and head of Awami Action Committee Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who is under house for the fifth day, Wednesday alleged that government resorted to dictatorial politics by stopping ‘Hafta Shohda’ programme and May 21 Eidgah march by using ‘force and coercion’.

“The blatant use of force on the young protesters by using pellet guns which inflicted lethal injuries to them amounts to extreme form of political retribution. Suhail Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Majid Khan of Khalid Colony Soura has been critically injured after he was targeted by pellets by forces,” he said. “The injured has been hospitalized in Soura medical institute and is reported to be in extremely critical condition.”

The Mirwaiz sternly condemned the government and its agencies for targeting Suhail and other scores of youth by pellets.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said Hurriyat chairman has instructed the legal aid cell of the conglomerate to file a case in the court against the use of pellet gun, pepper gas and chilly grenades by the police and security agencies against the common masses.
