Representing India in sub-junior category, Hashim won the gold at the Asian Youth Karate championship by beating his rival from Sri Lanka. The Championship witnessed participation from 19 other countries.

Now, the Bandipora boy is all set to represent India next in the World Karate Championship to be held in Europe in September 2017.
