A ‘Luxury Bus Service’ with AC and other facilities would be started in Srinagar city shortly and shall be available round the clock. A decision to this affect was taken in a meeting of officers from Transport, Traffic and other allied departments here today.
Giving details about the decision, the Divisional Commissioner, Dr Asgar Samoon said that a non-stop Bus Service shall ply from SMHS hospital via Eidgah Ali Jan Road to SKIMS Soura. He said, for the purpose, the services of Kehwa on Wheels agency have been acquired. He said open deck buses shall also be introduced in the city and shall ply on Boulevard through foreshore road, an official statement said this evening.
Dr Samoon said that in time such type of bus service shall be extended to other areas of the city also.
