The Field Operations Division of National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) Srinagar under the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation, is going to start NSS 76th Round for the period of six months from July 2018 to December, 2018 which is earmarked for the collection of data on “Persons with Disabilities, and Drinking water, Sanitation, hygiene and Housing Conditions”.

The spokesman said that three days Regional  Training Conference (RTC) is organised by National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), Field Operations Division , regional office Srinagar to import training to the employees of the National Sample Survey Office and the employees of the Directorate of Economic and  Statistics  Jammu and Kashmir from 25th June, 2018 to 27th June 2018.  The Regional training conference was inaugurated by D.P Mondal , Director General (Surveys)  of NSSO.

Mondal  Director General (Surveys)  NSSO union Ministry of  Statistics  and Programme implementation, government of India said in his inaugural address that the  emphasis the quality of the data to be collected in the selected households in rural and urban areas. He also advised all the employees to take deep interest to understand concepts and definitions of 76th round NSS survey so that there will be not any difficulty in the field during the collection of data.Further Mondel stressed on the need for inclusion of Technology and Publicity in the survey matters  as the results thus obtained will be far better and improved.
