Scores of students of Central University of Kashmir held protests against the killing of HMT youth Friday afternoon.
Hurriyat (g) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani, had called for the protests against the killing allegedly by the paramilitary CRPF last weekend hours after PM Narendra Modi flew to the Union capital.
Witnesses said that students denounced the killing of the engineering student, Gowhar Nazir Dar. Gowhar was final year Computer Science engineering student at SSM College.
“Immediately after congregational Friday prayers were over, students at CUK Wanbal Nowgam campus raised pro-freedom slogans and demanded action against the guilty,” one of the students said.
