Hitting back at the National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Friday said the single point agenda of the NC was to grab power at any cost.

“For grabbing power they can easily and happily join even a devil’s party. Kashmiri people have witnessed how time to again NC leaders, just for the sake of power, have compromised on so many sensitive issues, with every successive regime that was formed in New Delhi”, said party Chief spokesman Naeem Akhter while talking to KNS.

He said the history of Kashmir is filled with unfulfilled promises of NC leaders, “who never left a chance to deceive their own people.”

Reacting over NC Provincial President Jammu, Devender Singh Rana’s statement that PDP would disintegrate by 2014, Naeem Akhter said, “Though I did not want to comment over Mr Rana’s discourse but as he has been forecasting the political future of PDP,I would say it is only God and the people of the state who can  decide the fate of political parties and Mr Rana is neither of the two I suppose”.

While accusing NC of having many faces Naeem said, “We have seen NC always trying to hoodwink the people of Kashmir by exhibiting their unique multifaceted strategy, in which Mr Farooq Abdullah talks in one language while Omer Abdullah and Mustafa Kamal speak in their own separate rhetoric”.

Strongly condemning the continuous enforcement of curfew Naeem said, “Enforcing the curfew continuously depicts nothing but only the utter failure of government. They have turned the valley into a virtual prison in which whole Kashmiri population has been imprisoned and no law on earth allows this much of suppression”.
