At least six civilians and one police man were injured when unidentified person hurled a hand grenade in the Islamabad town of south Kashmir at around 12:31 PM on Tuesday.

“Two civilians and a police cop were injured in the grenade blast at Mehindi Kadel Anantnag,” police spokesman told Kashmir Life.

Eyewitnesses told KL on phone that there was an army vehicle passing on the road and apparently the grenade was aimed at the army vehicle but it missed the target and exploded on the road. They said that six pedestrians and a police man were found injured by the splinters of the grenade.

This is the second grenade blast in the south town of Islamabad during the last three days. Police station Sherbagh was targeted three days ago.
