SRINAGAR: Unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening lobbed a grenade at a police station in Budgam, official sources said.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
Quoting Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam the news agency KNO reported that militants lobbed grenade towards police station Budgam, which exploded outside the gate.
He said that an alert Santry fired upon the militants but they managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
The area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
