SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led a delegation of National Conference (NC) to Governor N N Vohra.
The delegation apprised the Governor about their concerns relating to the proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST) legislation which is to be discussed in the J&K Legislature Session beginning on 17th June 2017.They requested the Governor to advise the State Government to call an All Party Meeting to have an extensive discussion on various aspects of the GST regime, to allay the fears and concerns of the various stakeholders and put the entire concept in public domain for an open debate.
The delegation comprised Ali Mohammad Sagar, MLA; Mohammad Shafi Uri, MLA; Mohammad Akbar Lone, MLA; Devender Singh Rana, MLA; Nasir Sogami, Provincial President, NC; Choudhary Ramzan, former MLA; and Shami Oberoi.
