Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee (JKCC) on Tuesday called for a complete shutdown on Wednesday against what they termed as ‘the highhandedness of the government’ and the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the state.

An amalgam of traders and civil society JKCC said that the authorities “unlawfully detained” them while they were protesting against the implementation of GST today.

The JKCC has appealed people to observe complete shutdown against the government ‘highhandedness’ and its imminent decision of implementing GST in the state.
