A right Hindu Bhartiya Janta Party activist and its national executive member Thursday said that Gujjar-Bakerwals are fond of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Ishfaq-Ur-Rehman Poswal, BJP national executive member of ST Morcha, Thursday urged Mohan Bhagwat RSS chief to visit Jammu and Kashmir “in the interest of especially ignored Gujjar and Bakerwal community” impressed by the “justice system” of veteran RSS leader late Pandit Deen Dayal, a statement by Poswal said.

The statement said that Poswal held a meeting with Bhagwat at Sang Karyalay in Nagpur on Thursday after Bhagwat addressed a gathering on occasion of Vijay Dashmi – foundation day of the RSS.

“The Gujjar and Bakerwal community is eager to listen to Bhagwat as the community is impressed by the justice system followed by veteran RSS leader Pandit Deen Dayal,” Poswal said adding, “I urged Bhagwat to visit Jammu and Kashmir especially for the community that has been ignored by successive governments on all fronts.”

“Poswal appreciated Bhagwat for hailing different welfare schemes like Jhan Dhan Yojana, Swach Bharat Mission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Narendra Modi government is making all out efforts to eradicate poverty in India and take India to new heights. Ordinary people are reached out through such schemes and government is taking newer initiatives address basic issues of people and achieve overall development across India,” the statement added.

The BJP activist said, “under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, a full-fledged ministry of tribal affairs was formed in Jammu and Kashmir to address the issues of these neglected people.”

“Unlike previous governments, the union BJP government is taking welfare initiatives for Gujjar and Bakerwals who are living below poverty line and facing immense hardships amid inflation,” Poswal added.
