In two different clashes between youth and government forces in Islamabad’s Sangam and in Srinagar’s Tankipora Wednesday evening, two boys were injured.

“We received a boy with frontal skull bone injury on Wednesday, who was injured in Sangam Islamabad. We have operated upon him and presently he is on ventilator but is stable,” says Dr Farooq Jan, Medical superintendent SKIMS, Soura.

Parts of Islamabad are on boil after Zahid Rasool Bhat lost battle of his life Sunday. He was admitted in Delhi’s Safderjung Hospital for over a week after being set afire by fringe group in Udhampur. He belonged to Islamabad’s Botengo village.

Last evening, another youth was admitted in SHMS who was hit by pellets in his left eye. Giving the detail Dr Nazir Ahmad Chowdhary, MS SMHS told Kashmir Life, “18-year-old boy from Tankipora was admitted in our hospital with penetrating left eye injury. We are going to take him to theatre for taking up his further treatment.” The boy was injured in Maisuma clashes where people were protesting against the ‘manhandling’ and arrest of JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik.

Meanwhile the condition of the Bijbehara boy, Naseer Ahmad who got injured Wednesday afternoon, is said to be stable. “He is off ventilator and we are going to shift him into ward soon,” said Dr Jan.
