SRINAGAR: Gulmarg, the renowned ski resort in Jammu and Kashmir, is gearing up for the highly anticipated 4th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games scheduled from February 2 to 6.

Following the success of the previous editions, the Sports Authority of India, in collaboration with the Olympic Ad Hoc Committee for Ski and Snowboard India and the Winter Games Association of Jammu & Kashmir, will oversee this prestigious event, with active support from the J&K Government.
The 4th edition promises exciting competitions in Skiing, Snowboarding, and Ski Mountaineering hosted in Gulmarg, while Ladakh will showcase thrilling Ice events such as Ice Skating and Ice Hockey. Divided into two segments, these games aim to elevate the professionalism of the competition, ensuring enhanced facilities for all participants.
With over 400 athletes from diverse regions, including States, Union Territories, and the Army, set to participate in the Games in Gulmarg, competitions will unfold at Kongdoori and the main bowl of Gulmarg. Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, and Ski Mountaineering competitions will take place at Kongdoori, while Gulmarg will host Nordic Skiing competitions. Actively involved stakeholders, including SAI, Sports Federations, and the J&K Government, are diligently making necessary arrangements as discussed in a recent high-level meeting led by the Administrative Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports Department of the J&K Government.

Rauf Tramboo, President of the Winter Games Association of J&K (WGAJK), assumes the pivotal role of Competition Manager, overseeing all alpine and snowboard events.
