SRINAGAR: The higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, including the renowned tourist destinations of Gulmarg and Sonamarg, experienced fresh snowfall overnight.
The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has predicted light to moderate rain and snow across Jammu and Kashmir over the next two days.
On January 22, the plains of Jammu are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, while higher altitudes, such as the Chenab Valley and the Pir Panjal Range, are likely to witness snowfall.
Another spell of rain in the plains and snowfall in the mountains is forecasted for January 23.
From January 24 to 28, the weather is anticipated to remain mostly dry, with a slight chance of isolated light rain or snow between January 29 and 31. (KNT)
